  • Updates- Thank you to everyone who participated in the firewood fundraiser! We sold 3 to 4 quarts to raise $790. A clean up day will be scheduled at East Lake Park as a “thank you” for letting us use their space.
  • New Park- Construction has started as a part of Phase I. We are told that it willl take approximately 90 days to complete. This includes the new pavillion, sidewalks, and a major clean up of the park. Tomorrow night will be a beer and park work day from 4-6:30PM.
  • You have probably seen alot of email traffic regarding a neighborhood yard sale. Richard Ackerman has taken charge in this venture and has proposed a possible yard sale in the parking lot of our local Church. He is doing more research but anyone who is interested in participating, please e-mail Richard.
  • Save the Dates- March 1st: Next neighborhood meeting.
  • Neighbor In Need Program- We had a guest speaker from the local Neighbor in Need program come and speak to us about the program. His program focuses in helping low income, elderly individuals make emergency home repairs. We are not sure yet which directions we would like to go with this initiative but Earl Daniels has taken on the task and encourages anyone interested in helping to get in touch with him. There will be a brainstorming session soon in order to get input from neighbors on what we would like to do with this idea.
